NEW YORK!

I've spent 4 days in New York, and in that time I've had a great experience. On day one I spent what felt like hours (with my heavy backpack) walking to my hostel, from 7th Avenue on 42nd street, to The Wanderers Inn on 113 street, 1.3 miles.

On my second day I took a boat tour around Manhattan, seeing the sights and floating slowly past the Statue of Liberty.
"Smaller than I thought it would be"

I looked around the shops, plenty of them, then I headed to the Rockafella center. It was night and I had great sights of the city and all its lights.

Day three and I thought I'd hit America's Natural History Museum>>

The place was huge and I could have easily spent all day there, but I only spent 5 hours looking around. The Extreme Mamals exhibit was truly amazing; did you know whales have back legs, yes they do!

I spent the rest of the day shopping, and failing to find a certain something in a certain size.

They next day, today, my last day in New York, I spent most the time in Fedex and in a very very very very very very long queue in the Empire State building. In between however I had a great dinner in Bubba Gump Shirmp co, and got a free snazzy glass with my meal.

The Empire State building was anoying! The first queue was about half an hour long, finally you get to the security station, then you get to join another queue for about 45 mins to buy a ticket, $20, quite good. Then you join another queue for around 45 mins, after that you get the privilege of crossing a nice little corridor to a hall where we join another hour long queue. Finally you get to a lift, to yet another, but thankfully small this time, queue to the next lift. YAY now we're at the top and get an awsome view from 80-odd floors up.

Well thats my time in New York, I look forward to coming back and doing some christmas shopping on my way home, and seeing those little things I missed. I'm now off to bed, because I need to be up really early to catch a bus to Niagra at 4.50am. Bye bye.
